Westwood offers its school-aged residents a number of educational opportunities. It is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. There are a number of schools within its borders, including Warner Avenue School, Fairburn Avenue School, and Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School. Most of the residents living in Westwood neighborhoods will attend University High School, which is located in West Los Angeles. Saint Paul the Apostle and Sinai Akiba Academy are two area private schools. As noted, this is a college town. It is home to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
